Sam told me the other morning just how beautiful Isla is...then he said, "she would make a great celebrity!" me: why is that? Sam: because she's so bossy! The night before at dinner, Isla was telling Sam and Sloane to "knock it off", "eat your food" and "do your homework!" She has been so funny lately!

Ice Skating and Fudge Pops!

We went out to the Oasis last weekend and went ice skating in the 80 degree weather. It made it a little tricky with all of the ice melting. We still had a ton of fun!

Isla was adorable. She kept saying, "oops! Sorry." It was cracking me up. She went around twice and that was enough for her.

Just random sweetness.

I got an awesome popsicle maker for Christmas. We've made peanut butter/fudge pops and lemonade ones so far. I have plans for just a regular fudge pop soon!

Sloane loved it this year. She skated the entire time we were there...grinning the whole time.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Let the crazy pictures begin!!! Here is my beautiful Sloaney with the doll hair that Grandma and Granddad gave her (see later picture). Sloane had been after me to get her fall pictures done (she was sick when I took them of the other kiddos!) There are some good ones in here of her and some crazy leaf pictures. We had a ton of leaves in our yard...now there are more! GAG!! Sam was really proud of himself. He raked most of these leaves himself.

I told Isla that if she wanted to come out she had to go get some pants and shoes on (she just had on a t-shirt and underwear...this is what she comes out in. She is a mess!

Look at those pants! She refused to change them for the pictures. I just had to hide her with leaves.

Santa came to the girls' school. They were loving it!

We thought we would head to San Antonio to see the lights on the riverwalk. Isla wasn't feeling that great so she refused most pictures. Sam really wanted to see the Alamo again...it was closed, but we got to see the outside. We had a really good time! I have some pictures of the girls at their school that I need to post...later!

Even though we have been really busy, we've done some really fun things! Here are the girls at their school program the other night. This is actually in Sloane's room, but Isla couldn't stand to be without her for a second...

Okay, the vacation that flew by! We went to Phoenix and stayed at an awesome resort...for free! Chad and I climbed up the mountain that was right behind the resort and this was the view.

Well my class is over, tests are taken and clinical time is complete....it was all worth it because I just got my license back yesterday!!!!!!!! I'm a real nurse again!

Today the kiddos sang in church. It was so good. I totally enjoyed it until Sloane came to sit with me and said that her tummy was really hurting and that we should go home. So we departed after the singing and Sloane took a short nap. I thought she was just tired from our fun night last night (it was a fall family fun fest with our church) so we all piled into the car to go to our favorite park for some fall pictures and she vomited all over my car. WHAT A MESS!!!!!!! Anyway, I got it all cleaned up and thought I would take a few of the well children and get Sloaney later. Pictures are out of order again. Here is my sweet boy.

Lots of different pictures over the last two weeks. I'm shocked at how many pictures I've taken when we have been so busy. Lots of fall family fun. Most pictures speak for themselves...I'll save my energy for the big "9" birthday post.

Sam wanted his pumpkin to be an "artist" pumpkin...so Sloaney had to have something different as well (only she wanted to put a flower in the pumpkins "hair", but the flower she picked matched the pumpkin! Look closely at the pumpkin "lid")

My pictures are out of order...I can't figure out blogger... Anyway, here is my sweet little Isla hood. She had a rough start, but came around and walked the entire way! The second picture is not the most flattering view of me (thanks, Chad) I promise I haven't gained any weight! This was Isla up to the end...shy and needing us to say "trick-or-treat" and thank-you.

We got to dress-up for Halloween at work. We have 2 sides of the office...my side did a Shrek theme and the others had a Smurf theme. It was soooo fun to see everyone dressed up and the kiddos loved it. I loved the Smurf outfits. (I made the hats!) More to come of the my kiddos in a later post.

Grandma is going to kill me for that first picture! Isla made her fall back and Chad and I just couldn't resist! The second picture is wonderful! I just wish Ennis and Erin were in there...someday!

I don't understand why this always happens to me, but my pictures are all out of order again! Sloane had her first real haircut today...something besides me just trimming and not doing a very good job. I think she took off 4-5 inches and it really really needed it. Sloane wants to be Rapunzel so it was a major chore to get her to the shop, but she's really happy now. Now we have nice thick hair and can grow it out to be Rapunzel! We are very excited for Halloween and got our house "ready" for all of the fun!

Isla found a nice horse to play on in Toys-r-us the other day. She was loving it.

Halloween...We can't WAIT!!!

As you all know, we love Halloween. I don't have a special feeling for Halloween, but I love fall...when two of my babies were born! It just so happens that this is a favorite holiday of those two precious ones and so we love it for lots of reasons. We've all had many conversations about what we were all dressing up as for the big event. Sloane was going to be a vampire...I was making her a special cape and everything...then we went to Target to pick up a couple of things and the entire plan changed!

She's now going to be batgirl and this is how she looked when she picked Sam up from school on Friday. I had the day off and so it was tons of fun to see Sam's expression when he saw her. He's such a good big brother.

Isla doesn't care what she is for Halloween and she's in such a "phase" right now that she probably won't even wear a costume. That being said, I made her a hooded red cape and she's going to be little red riding hood (I'll have her carry a basket..if she will!) This picture is funny because Isla did actually have on the cape, but she was saying she's a pirate...click on the picture to see her lips...she was trying to look mean. I love this girl...

We went to a little outlet mall yesterday just to enjoy the weather. The girls had a good time!

First Day of Pre-K!

Sloane is loving school! She asked when she was going to start everyday for at least a month before her first day. She was very excited to see some of her best friends in her same class! Chad did an excellent job of getting those first day of school pictures!

My friend took the two with all of the girls together. They are all so happy.

I think this teacher is in trouble.

Sloane has been saying some really funny things here lately...

She was playing T-ball with the neighbor boy in the backyard the other day:

Boy: It was his turn and so he stepped up and hit the ball. It went a few feet in front of him and then he handed the bat to Sloane.

Sloane: Steps up to the T, hits a line drive as hard as you can into the fence, hands the boy back the bat and says, "now that's how you do it"...

We were sitting down at the table the other day and she said, "Mommy, puppy dogs whine and give you those big puppy dog eyes.... (I could see the wheels turning)...Mommy, do puppy dog eyes work on you? (while making puppy dog eyes!)

Sloane is such a funny and smart girl that is so ready for Kindergarten! I just don't think that we are ready!

I completely forgot about this picture! It's from last Friday (August 26th). We had Sloane's one true love and his sister spend the night. A good time was had by all. Sloane said she was so happy to finally know what it feels like to have a sleepover and we are the best parents....EVER!!!!!!!

Last night we played in the pool and ate some s'mores...a lot of s'mores! It was fun and yummy!

I posted this picture because it's all blurry...the girls are in the buff :) They love being chased by their brother.

Sam was very hot from running around in the backyard and thought he would stick his head in the pool. (also to wash the s'mores off...)

So did Isla...anything the big kids do she does too! She is so funny with this. She will mimic them down to the way they are sitting, holding their hands....to the very last detail. It is really funny to watch!

My first week at work went very well and Mr. Mom did great! Everyone was happy! Love my babies!

Last Day at home?...at least for a while

I'm not sure what is going on with Blogger, but I'm having difficulties typing what I want (at least where I want it)! Hopefully this works... So I'm off to work Monday and this week has been about completely enjoying my children and being so appreciative of the 5 years that I have been with them! Today we had a little time at Zilker park with Sloane's one true love and his mother.

Last night was Sam's back to school night and I really loved this picture of Sam's. Too cute.

So many changes for me right now... I'm trying to get my Texas nursing license back and it's an ordeal! Right now I'm taking an online class and I was hopeful that I would be able to zip right through it. I started it last night and several hours later I finished the first unit (there are seven...the first one was the smallest!) It was very boring...studying nursing practice theory and other equally boring stuff...that's okay, nothing a little ~~bottle~~ glass of wine won't cure or at least make a little interesting! Next week I start an as needed job in a pediatrician's office. Should be interesting!

I was looking through my phone and realized I had several pictures on there that I had forgotten to post. Here are some random ones of my favorite little people!

Sam was very excited this morning...he's such a big boy now...third grade! I really can't believe it. Here he is yesterday wearing a fake mustache. He's crazy...hope his teacher enjoys that sort of thing!

Sam found the best thing in his room the other day...long forgotten Chuck-e-Cheese tokens! Great for us!!! We split them and had about an hour and a half of entertainment!

This ride was moving so their faces are blurry, but Isla love love loved this ride! I think she used most of her tokens on this ride.

We visited Lowe's again and made some school house picture holders. I love this program!

Lots of craziness going on this week...school starts next week. I'm always sad when it does. I love us all being together and swimming so much. We went to a pool party last night and Sloane went nuts in the pool. She can really swim now. She was swimming the entire length of the pool without any flotation help at all. If she got tired in the middle of the pool (which was way deep) then she would doggie paddle and then swim again. I was so impressed. She also jumped off the top of this elevated area (about 4 feet) into the water. YIKES! I have a tendency to hover too much and it was good for me to see her do this...like she told me last night, "see mommy, I told you I could do it!" Love her!!!

My pitiful little sweetie!

Isla slipped and fell in the bathtub last night. She split her chin open pretty good, but we found a great place to get her fixed up! It's a little after hours clinic and it was great...cheaper and faster than an E.R.!!! They put some Dermabond (glue) on it and it looks really good this morning. Now all of the girls have matching scars...me, Sloane and Isla.... crazy!

It's so very hot here that you either stay inside or go swimming. That is pretty much our life these days. I had a ton of pictures that I hadn't posted about so here they are! Sweet sister moment...Isla was singing herself to sleep the other night and this is what she was singing, "Please don't take my Sloaney away, please don't take my Sloaney away"...I could have cried! So cute!!! Princess Isla....never leaves home without the bracelets...

She just couldn't keep her eyes open. It was so hot out too.

Back in March or April, we won an auction basket from Sam's school. It was a month of little ninja classes and this totally adorable outfit. I think she is so stinking cute...I could just eat her up!

She really loves these classes. She even comes home and practices the moves.

Thursday we headed to a new splash pad with some friends and had the best time. The only thing that bothered every mom out there was the big bolders scattered all over the place. Concrete everywhere! It wasn't hot under your feet, but scared me a little because all of the kiddos were running. I could have stayed there all day. There was a slide, sandbox, rock climbing area, waterfall and lots of sprinklers. We all really really enjoyed ourselves.

Isla went down the slide over and over again....she was so tired at the end of our time there that she was begging to go home saying, "I'm tired, Mommy! I'm tiredddddd!!!!"

The day finally arrived! THE SMURF'S!! We went to an afternoon show and had a great time. They were so excited and it was really cute. The movie got bad reviews, but I thought it was pretty good. Maybe I thought that because we were all so excited and the kiddos really enjoyed it....here are my wonderful cuties...

Sam just being cute at breakfast. His eyes were really green that morning and I was telling him how beautiful his eyes were...just let me take a picture...and he started laughing so hard. He's adorable.

I need a Smurf intervention. This bag is going to help me smuggle in candy when we go see the movie! (Smurfette is under the flap!)

We took advantage of the Lowe's Build and Grow program and made some super binoculars! We had a lot of fun.

In the afternoon, we headed out to try our hand at geocaching. We've done it in the past and it was/is tons of fun. We found the first one when we were just about to give up. It was up in a tree and camouflaged! We were so happy to find it...they were so proud!

We thought we would try one more, but because of the heat, that would have to be the last one. We found it too!!! It was so tiny. You can see on Sam's finger just how tiny it was. It was on the bottom of a fire hydrant! CRAZY!!!

We went to lunch with our Sunday school class today and now we are all in a food coma! I'm soooo tired!

First stop New Orleans! We spent the night and next morning/afternoon there.

Then Biloxi...just to take the edge off of the next day...

Hilton Head on the third day (we stayed there 5 nights and it was glorious)

Then back to New Orleans just to spend the night and off to

Baton Rouge to see old friends. I can't believe I don't have pictures of them! We had so much fun!

Then back to Austin (and laundry :( )

Our first house!! It is for sale again and it's exactly the same!!! They never changed any of our colors (it was empty so we could see in the front/back door) and even had the bricks that we left them to expand the patio still stacked just like we left them...5 YEARS LATER!!! That really cracked me up! I loved this house. It was so good to see it and see everything exactly the same. I was really thrilled.

We went out most times during low tide and it happened to work out that we went out this time at high tide. Quite a difference! We had the most fun in the waves. The children were loving it!! I was too!

Isla Grace wanted no part of high tide. She did love the ocean though and I was really impressed by this. She loved sitting on my lap and having the waves splash over her.

She buried her feet over and over again. All of the children did really. It was the most fun.

Blue toes in the sand. I could totally live out on the beach...just pitch me a tent and I'm there. I really could stay right in the spot forever and ever.

Sloane would dig holes to give me pedicures. She would have me stick my feet down in the hole and wash me up with the sand. She was so cute.

Isla refused to pose...why is it that we always have one that doesn't want to cooperate?

We caught lots of fiddler crabs, sand dollars and some kind of weird crab thing that gave me the creeps...

My cuties before we headed out for fireworks. We had to travel to Kyle this year...ours were canceled due to the drought. It worked out fine and we just may continue to go there...it was so convenient! (like Sloane's shoes?? GAG!)

Here is my latest fun thing. I figured out how to make ruffles and had so much fun making this dress! I'm so ready for the movie! I wish it was just like the olden days Smurfs though...you know, back in the "19's" as Sam would say!

Chad's parents came to visit this weekend! We all had a ton of fun. They (along with Chad) took Sam and Sloane to Lowe's Build and Grow workshop for a 4th of July craft. After the craft and some fun time at home, we all headed out. The Grandparents took all of the kiddos to see Kung fu Panda and Chad and I enjoyed some alone time!

(This was the afternoon fun I mentioned!) We have another hammock, thanks to Phil and Sheila, and we got our bird house up!

Last Friday while Sam was enjoying his last day of drama camp, I took the girls to a splash pad. They were so fun. Isla did everything Sloane wanted to do...except actually get in the water. That's not for her. She loves to swim, but no thanks for the splash pad.

It took some convincing to even get Isla in her swimsuit. She just wanted to wear her jammies...no diaper. UGH!

Sharing some blueberries....Isla is the best sharer. They ate that entire bag of frozen berries when we were there.

We had the park to ourselves for almost an hour. It was glorious!

She also eats her ice cream sandwiches with a spoon...dairy free, of course!

She loves to help me cook. Here we are making one of the 8 packages of brownie mix that Daddy picked up at the store....long story!

I'm a little late posting about drama camp, but we've had tons going on...including our air conditioner breaking down! Lovely in 100 plus temperatures! It's fixed now and I can enjoy sitting at the computer without sweating buckets!

Sam loved drama camp so much. Their theme was cartoon characters and Sam was Roderick from Diary of a wimpy kid. He delivered his lines beautifully and I was so proud. I have a video of his first line, but for some reason it won't let me put it on here...I might try later.

Everyone is off to VBS again this week. Sloane is in heaven because she knows 3-4 girls in her class (they are from her preschool...that's where VBS is this week.) Next week is our church! Can't wait!!

"I DID IT!!!"

My beautiful daughter is potty training herself. It just kind of happened...I was thinking around 2.5 I would start, but last week she just started going on the potty. All by herself! She gets very excited when she does it and says, "I DID IT!!!" She also does a little dance and sometimes slaps herself on the tush and says, "my tush, my tush". She is hilarious! I made her this 4th of July dress and she refused to pose for me. So these are the best pictures I could get. I also made one for Sloane and she informed me that Isla's is much prettier....I can't win! Love them!

Summer Is...

I want to cry just thinking about everything that has to be done this week! So much Father's Day stuff (I'm in charge of that at church) and all the other Dad's in my life (mostly the babies' dads...the pressure is on because I made the Moms a really cool necklace!) GAG!! Oh well...Anyway, we are working our way through a Family Fun magazine article on 20 things to do this summer. We are having a blast. Sam is testing out one of the fun things to do. We also beat a garbage bag, full of water, like a pinata and that was sooooo much fun. I love that magazine.

I made the baby dolls some dresses this week. The girls love them.

My Sam Sam is off to drama camp this week. I can't wait for a day off Friday to see his play. I'm so excited for him. He really looks forward to this week every year.

My pictures are out of order again! Oh well...Today we got up, cleaned the house and for our treat we were going to go to Deep Eddy's and swim. On the way there, it started raining! And lightning!!! So we turned around and went to Sonic. I did let Isla have regular "cream", but she never eats very much...two bites at most. She loves the cherries.

Isla loved her new princess dress...I couldn't get her to stand still for a picture. She just kept twirling and twirling! (I had to put the bow in the back because she kept untying it.)

We had some free passes (thanks to couponing!!!) for our favorite jumpy house and we went on Saturday afternoon. All of my pictures are of Isla because the other two ditched me as soon as they got through the door!

This place has more than just jumpy stuff...dress-up, Dr. hospital, grocery store and so much more! Isla was in heaven!

Friday morning, we headed to the park. It was glorious outside. Isla is such a big girl. Again, most of my pictures are of her because the others are just too fast!

Sam had a friend with him and they exhausted each other...so much running!

My pictures are in reverse order, but here you go. Sam was busy at work already this morning. Daddy's truck is officially free of sand! YAY!!!

Isla wanted nothing to do with the water. She stayed safely in the garage, eating her fruit snacks.

Breakfast on the alligator...does it get any better. Sloane was completely worn out from going to the park yesterday and slept in until 9:15!!! Now if she could just give the other two lessons!

Hollywood at dinner last night. We couldn't even see her eyes. She would just stick her bacon and pancakes up under her hat and eat away.

After school at the park. They were trying to move the Oreo from their foreheads to their mouths. It was pretty funny.

Here is Sam yesterday morning...last day of 2nd grade! I can't believe he's a 3rd grader now!!! We went up school for the closing ceremony and it was very cute. They did the chicken dance again and sang the school song....Love it!

Okay, the patio is complete! (except for an extra hook so that we can fold the hammock up) We have had so much fun with this project! It's so much fun to just hang out out there! The kiddos have a sandbox now and I can lay in the hammock for hours while they play with the sand or pool. I'm getting some really good reading done. Chad loves laying in it at night. The weather is great in the morning and late evening. Soooooo relaxing!

I love mosaic anything and I just about died when we found this pot! LOVE IT!!!

Six Flags!!!

We had a ton of fun at Six Flags on Saturday. It was HOT and I remembered why I don't do Six Flags in the summer...Anyway, we had a wonderful time, got really wet on some rides and loved watching the kiddos have the time of their lives! I rode this ride with Sam and when you get off you can stand on the bridge to get really really wet. He did...I did not! Sloane actually stood on the bridge too, but didn't ride the ride. She wasn't a big fan of anything that dropped you. She did ride a really big roller coaster (yikes...I have an awesome pic of that, but I'll have to have Chad scan it at work for me).

I don't have many pictures because we were just too busy having fun.

A very sweet brother...

We had a great time, but I think we will stick to water parks or something like this in the fall/early spring! I did wear some Seabands bracelets for motion sickness and did end up taking some Dramamine later in the day. I did not want a repeat of last year! Yesterday was my birthday (sorry, no pictures!) and I had a WONDERFUL day! It started with breakfast on the couch (by Sam...Isla had us up at 5:10, so we couldn't do breakfast in bed), presents, out for Mexican food, shopping, pedicure and time in the hammock! It was great! I have an awesome family!

Sorry so few posts lately...a bladder infection turned kidney is not fun! Thank goodness for an awesome husband and a friend that loves my kiddos! Sloane has been having lots of Christian fun the last couple of days. They were laying in the hammock talking about what a beautiful day it was and how relaxing it was to just hang out there....sooooo cute.

Yesterday they got to go for pizza, to two parks and have a lemonade stand! Such lucky kiddos!! Like Sloane's outfit? It's a slip top over the dress....it was the third time I told her to go change and now I've learned to help her pick it out. Good thing my friend doesn't embarrass easily...her son is in costume half the time.

We are Six Flagging it tomorrow...free pass plus awesome coupons! LOVE IT!!!

New Patio and a few others...

Our new patio/hammock area! This was lots of work (those stones are HEAVY), but soooo much fun! I love doing projects with Chad. He's so patient with me (lets me have my way) :) Anyway, we have enjoyed a couple of nights just hanging out in the hammock. We are going to get a little table to put out there (have to have a place to sit your drink!) and a planter. This is our hammock from Mexico...we just had to have the time and energy to rip out that jasmine and get the project done (a year after the hammock purchase!).

Saturday was Sam's class party. They went to a teachers house and had soooo much fun in his pool. It was an amazing pool and as usual, I was the only mother in it. We had a blast. There was a trampoline too and I did Aunt Sarah's splits in the air, touch your toes for all the little kids. It was a hit. Sam had a water gun fight the entire 3 hours. Sloane is dancing to the music in this picture. She got lots of compliments on her awesome moves!

Ha! This is what happens when everyone is asleep and I'm procrastinating on housework! The girl's stroller was not looking good. It was ripped and had holes in it...so much love. Soooo, I decided that I could make a new one. Not to shabby for me...It was super easy and fast!

We had a play date here earlier with "the one true love". Yes, Sloane is wearing a Christmas dress. I don't ask anymore...

We are so excited for tomorrow! Our little Isla Gracey girl is turning two!! Hopefully I will have some time tomorrow or the next day to post some pictures.

My wonderful children...they brought me muffins in bed along with my presents. It was so fantastic. They are the best! Sam made me do a "practice run" yesterday to make sure he knew how to run the microwave (Chad was out of town this morning). He is so incredibly sweet. My pictures are kinda in a crazy order, but here you go!

This is my best picture of the 3 of them together today! Sad...but Isla has been a little difficult today. I guess she didn't get the memo that today was my special day.

My precious, sweet Sloane. She now knows where babies (at least mine) are pushed through to enter the world...she had wanted to have 100 children in the past...(then after she found out) it was two...then after more consideration, she asked me if I would just have them for her. It sounds just too painful for her to have to go through! WHAT???

We tried to have a picnic lunch on Saturday in the backyard, but we had a little friend watching us...if you know my background story with opossums, you know we high-tailed it into the house!!!

All I can say is yummy yum yum! It has been 6 years since I have eaten a bagel and this was so delicious! Thank you, Udi's!!!!!!! They make the most delicious breads, muffins, bagels and more. LOVE IT!!!

We had a make-up day on Friday. So fun!

Saturday we went up to Sam's school for their spring festival. Sloane had a blast at the game car thingy...Dancing up a storm.

My amazing almost 2 year old! She is so sweet and fun! Her new favorite sentence is "What's that for?" I love it!!!! She loves her new Easter boots. Both of the girls do. That's pretty much all they will wear.

She was totally fascinated by the birds in our backyard. They were really loud and she kept saying, "Do you hear those birds?". I just love her little voice.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Sloane made Chad a wiggle eye card. She drew a really cute picture of Chad and put the little wiggle eye stickers on it...it was pretty sweet. Then she wanted to write Happy Birthday, Daddy on the inside. I wrote it on a sticky note so that she could copy it onto the card...she took one look at the sticky note and said, "I think I'll just put this note in there...you've already written it and that's fine like that." So Chad had a sweetly decorated card with a yellow post-it note on the inside. Love my Sloaney!

On the way home from dinner last night, Sloane asked Sam, " Sam, when you are a teenager (commence the eye rolling from Sam...Sloane always asks questions about teenagers :) ) will you put your toys in the attic and go to college?" We were playing outside earlier in the week and Isla was so proud to have Sloane's underwear around her ankles (why Sloane didn't have them on is a whole other story...Sloane thinks she must be naked to run through the sprinkler... never mind if you are in the front yard!)

We made some chalk bodies on Friday. They were having the best time.

Isla is my favorite camera subject. I just pull it out and she assumes the pose. So precious.

Happy Easter! Sloane was singing "Jesus Loves Me" the other day and very sweetly looked up at me and said, " Don't I have a sweet voice?" Love Her! She was also telling me the Easter story. She said, " Some bad people came and took Jesus away and put him on the cross....but don't worry Mommy...He's risen!"

Sam was so focused on his Easter basket that he didn't even see his new bike! He was looking through his basket and we said, "did you see the thing beside it?" and he started jumping up and down. It was really cute.

She was so happy to get Tangled and some cowgirl boots.

In front of our church. Every Easter everyone brings flowers to decorate the cross. This was the first year that I felt like I had it together enough to purchase flowers ahead of time and get there early! (I made my skirt!)

Our neighbor built a tree house and all of the kiddos are loving it. Today was the open house!

I was trying to get Isla to let me take a picture of her and so I took a picture of this Lantana. Everything is blooming (or so close) and it's so fun!

After Isla's nap, she was not in a good mood. She wouldn't really talk to anyone and did NOT want her picture taken. She threw up everywhere about 10 seconds after I took this picture. I was telling her that I love how cute her toes are and she just vomited everywhere!! Poor baby. She's coloring now and seems fine.

We are just chillin the rest of the day. We are gearing up for the big 34 birthday for Daddy later this week! Sloane has a very interesting cake planned! Happy Easter!!

I'm still loving my camera app! Isla was having the best time on her swing. She is so fun.

Isla was my big helper yesterday. I'm making a skirt (mostly for the practice reading a pattern) and Isla was my pin helper. This was us yesterday...

Me: May I have a pin please?

Isla: Yes, Mommy. Here you go.

Me: Thank you, Isla.

Isla: You're welcome, Mommy!

Isla: Need one more, Mommy?

Me: Please!

Over and over again until all the pins were in place. She was so proud of herself. She said, "I did it, MOMMY!!!" So precious...

Poor Sloane is not feeling well. She's still sleeping! Sam was totally adorable last night. He was crawling into bed and said," Mommy, you are so beautiful...especially when you smile." He is sooooooo sweet! He learns it from his Daddy.

New Camera App and SEWING!!!

I have a new camera app (thanks to Chad)!! I'm really excited about it because it always seems that I have my phone with me but not my camera. I end up taking most of my pictures on my phone and they are grainy. With this app, you can do all kinds of fun things. In the first picture, Isla was happily making some "cancakes" a.k.a. pancakes. She said, "there are cancakes in there! cancakes in there!" It was adorable.

We were trying to get Sam to eat his salad. He said he hates salad, but wanted a Klondike bar. So me, being the "crazy insane" mommy that I am, had to sing the Klondike song...what would you dooo for a Klondike bar??? The girls joined in and Sam ate his salad. He said it wasn't "that bad". This is Isla's "what" face/hands.

I got my new sewing book and I'm totally excited. I have so much to learn, but had a total blast making a pin cushion and pencil holder (it even had a zipper)!

I bought 3 cheap zippers to practice with and I already know that I hate sewing them. Zippers are hard. At least for me. I'm having lots of fun with it though. This could get $$$!

I wanted to do something easy to get used to my machine, the thread and the bobbins...I've been traumatized before! We decided to make some pillows...it was so much fun! At the end of the night, Sam helped me make his. He did a great job (he did the foot pedal). He really enjoyed himself and I can see him totally making something on his own. Poor Sloane...I was going to make hers with her today (it was really late when we finished Sam's). She had the saddest look on her face...I just couldn't let her go to bed without her pillow! So we made one (after much debate about fabric choices). She picked to have one side of Isla's fabric (pink) and one side of Sam's (skulls). That's my Sloane...Love them soooo much!

Sewing, Math and Randomness!

Okay, we've had one fun weekend. It started off on Saturday with Sam's big Math Pentathlon tournament. My pictures are out of order...sorry. Sunday, I took a sewing class. I was/am so proud of myself. I had a total blast and made a super cute tote bag that is totally me! The children are all excited because we are going to make some pillows (I just want to play). They are soooo ready to help!

Here is our little man, after the tournament. He got the bronze medal which means that he won 3, tied once and lost one game. He had a great time and we all really enjoyed the experience. Chad was a monitor and he liked doing that too.

Isla had a great time last night at church. She and Chad played on the playground and had a fabulous time. I could tell, when they got home, that she was thinking her daddy was pretty cool. She looks like she was having the time of her life!

BLUEBONNETS!!! There are tons of them in front and around Sloane's school and it was soooo much nicer to have the parking lot and a sidewalk!

Chad didn't want me to take one of him with the kiddos.

The kiddos had a great time with bubbles out on the patio.

This was Isla's first real attempt at bubbles...we have a little work to do on this!

I'm taking a crash course in sewing this coming weekend and I'm soooo excited. I hope it really is for beginners because I really know nothing!!! Anyway, while we were at JoAnn Fabric picking up some supplies, Chad found these cute little herb markers. I just love them. (I also loved the fact that they were on sale, 50% off!)

We have a busy week ahead...but before we start all of that, I have a self-dying hair emergency to attend to. Chad is at Walgreen's as we speak, buying the new color...it sucks to have this much gray!!!!!!!
