So Much Cuteness!

This is a picture of how a busy mommy gets her work done. She was loving it. This is crazy Sloane. She's really into being funny and making people laugh. That is her shirt on her legs.
This is the happiest baby alive!

This morning Sam and Sloane have been getting along beautifully. Sam was playing the Wii and Sloane was sharing her popcorn with him. Right now they are sitting in the same chairs watching Despereaux and holding hands. Sigh...

This is a video of poor Isla being tortured. She was so tired and trying so hard to get to sleep. She was jumping and grinning at Chad and then all of a sudden she was very tired!

A Handsome Man, Sweet Check-up, Joining Church and One Fun Bike Ride!

Here is my handsome man! This is the school mugshot...not sure if I want that on my wall. I may need to do something else! Isla had her 6 month check-up today. She did great, but had so many vaccines! Poor baby! She weighed 18.6 lbs and was 25.75 inches long. Dr. J said, "hey, she's back on the charts!" I said, "she got a jumperoo!" Isla is, of course, perfect!

We finally joined the church we have been attending. It's a wonderful church and I just can't say enough nice things about it. The children love it and always can't wait to go back! This is a picture of us after we joined on Sunday. I had no idea that they were going to bring the children up and take a family picture or I would have thought a little more about the clothing! I took the girls on a little bike ride yesterday and they loved it. I knew Sloane would, but I wasn't sure about Isla. I turned around to look at her and she gave me the biggest grin. She was loving it!!!

Merry Christmas a Little Early!!

I took the children to Portrait Innovations for a little Christmas picture fun. This is always exhausting. Isla decided that it was a good time to have stranger danger/separation anxiety. Thank goodness Sloane was cooperating. She and Sam were both very good and very funny. They were totally charming the photographers. This picture is funny because the photographer said, "hmmm...most 6 month old babies can sit in this box...." Isla was bursting out of that box. It will never be the same again.

The mohawk has become so terrible. I wasn't sure what to do. I think from putting a bow in her hair everyday her baby hair is starting to finally fall out. What we are left with is a very thin mohawk and blond fuzzies on the sides. I think the bow is a good distraction. It made everyone we saw smile...so it must be a good thing!

This was the last picture. It was supposed to be of Sam jumping, but Sloane jumped in at the last minute. I love it.

A New Seat

I'm really done with high chairs. They are too hard to clean and take up too much space. I bought this new seat at babies r us and we are really liking it. Isla seems to like it to!Sloane said the funniest thing this morning. "I would like some fruit snacks and tumbleweeds for breakfast. " It took me a minute, but she meant fruit snacks and frosted mini-wheats! I laughed so hard.

Grasshoppers Place 2nd!!

Sloane wanted to wear her hair in a ponytail to the game. I was so excited! When we got to the game, she promptly took it down! UGH!!!
The Grasshoppers lost last night in a very close game. They did really well and placed 2nd out of 16 teams. I'm so proud of them. This is Sam and his coach.
So proud of his trophy. Needless to say, this has given him baseball fever again and he can't wait to play in the spring! At least in the spring they will be able to stay on the same team.

Team shot. Sam is the first on the front row.

So now we will be enjoying some quiet time at our house and a much needed return of our weekends!

Happy 6 Months and Oh....Baseball!

Happy 6 month birthday to my precious baby! Look at that smile!!! She's so happy and content...and so are we. She rolls over both ways but can't sit up on her own just yet. She loves rice cereal and hates everything else. She loves all children, but especially Sam and Sloane. They are very good to her.
Baseball, baseball, baseball...where do I begin?! We won again last night and we are playing again tonight. If we win tonight, we will play the last game tomorrow night. If we lose tonight, it is over. This is a picture of Sam and his friend getting ready to shake hands with the other team after they received their 3rd place trophies.

Coach Kevin and his team after the game.

If the won, Coach said they could "dogpile" him. I'm sad to say that my little son is somewhere in that pile.
Go Grasshoppers!

The videos are of one of Sam's awesome hits and the dogpile. The game last night was very tough. Sam had two good hits with RBI's and we were so proud.

One Crazy Weekend...

We had a crazy weekend! It started with an early baseball game...we lost. We had to play another...we won and that meant we had to play again..all in the same day!!!!!!!!!!!! Sam was catcher in lots of innings this weekend. Here is my man at work. He was smiling here, but hard to tell with the face mask and all.
These are Sloane's little friends. You can't see Sloane because she's wrapped in a blanket and under the umbrella (it was not raining).

This is a really good friend of Sam's. They are big goofballs together. Can you tell?
After all of our games, we had Sam's birthday party. 8 of Sam's closest friends joined us for pizza, cake and chaos. The theme was G.I. Joe...Cobra mostly.

Chad was put to good use at the party. He was an awesome cake carrier and entertainer for Isla. I think he secretly liked hiding away with the baby!

Sam directing the singing.

Sloane's crazy friend, Christian was at the party.
We all crashed after the party and jumped up for church the next morning. Sam's choir group got to sing for all the adults! It was so cute. I just love little guys in robes! Sam is the 4th from the right in the front row.

We had another baseball game immediately following church or I guess I should say that we had to leave church early to make it to this game. We got to have lunch in the car and Sam thought that was totally cool. It started pouring down rain in the middle of the game and the girls and I headed to the car. Here is my sweet go with the flow baby.

Here is my crazy I'm running wild in the car girl! And here is my I'm soaked but we won by one point boy....and that means that we get to play some more ball!!!!!!! God knew that Jamie was so done for today and rained out the rest of the games.

So we are waiting to hear when we play again.
GO GRASSHOPPERS!

GO GRASSHOPPERS!!!

Sam's baseball team is awesome! I will admit that I totally had mixed feelings about the game last night. I'm done running around for baseball and hearing all of the complaining. On the other hand, they are a really good team and it's hard to root against your own team! Last night was the first game in the tournament. It was a real nail biter because we were playing the only team that we lost to during the regular season! The score ended up being 9-7 grasshoppers! Soooooo looks like we will be at the ball field all weekend...starting at 8 a.m. Saturday morning!!! This is a picture of Sam after the game enjoying a birthday cupcake. His team sang happy birthday to him and it almost made me cry. He had two good hits (one was RBI #9) and a really good stop and throw in the outfield. I was so proud. Before the game, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese to have a little fun with Sam's friend, Vincent. I guess they didn't talk about what kind of face they were going to make in the picture.

I probably won't post again until Monday. On a side note, I did get my sweet baby to take a bottle for the first time in about 2 months. It took her about 10 minutes to stop making a horrible face and then she was off! That is such a huge relief and now I'm ready for a date night....

Malia's Flat Stanley

Yesterday we had the pleasure of taking Malia's Flat Stanley all over town with us. We really had a very good time. Here we are at the Capital. With Davy Crockett. Sam really wanted to go on the tour, but we were running out of time. Something to do on a rainy day!
Flat Stanley trying to shoot the cannon.

On a hike and bike trail. It was just beautiful out there.

We had to take a picture and write about the bats! The children were totally fascinated by everything.

Flat Stanley got mailed back today and I can say that we are going to miss him. I hope he gets home safely.
* Chad and I will be Christmas shopping on the 10th. We are happy to shop for others, but we need to know. After the 10th, there is no way I'm going back out to shop!

Fun Times at the Ennis House!

Sam was feeling better and so we ventured to the pumpkin patch on Friday. Malia's Flat Stanley joined us. They had a great time there and didn't want to leave.
Sloane loved all of the little pumpkins.

Isla was with us, but in the baby carrier and it wasn't worth taking her out. She was enjoying a very peaceful nap.

Sloane loved gathering up all of the little pumpkins and making a big circle with them. You can see her work behind her.

My sweet little man.
This is a picture of Sloane last year when we carved pumpkins. She really wasn't into all of the innards!

This year was a little different.

Sam and I were having lots of fun. He thought it was totally disgusting. I wasn't prepared to be photographed or I would have put on something a little nicer (yes, my shirt says dairy diva). UGH! Oh... anything for the memories!

Chad sat down the camera and I took over. They designed their own pumpkins and we carved. Sloane was very happy with her pumpkin and Daddy's work!

We let Sam do his own carving this year. He did great. His was very scary with lots of teeth.

Sloane's first house. She was a little shy and very slow walking up to doors. She was like a little old lady going up to the houses. About half way through she asked to go home. Luckily we had the wagon and she was content to ride and watch the big kids.

Our group. They were always about 4 houses ahead of Sloane.

This is Sloane this morning. I think she's had too much candy!
We had a wonderful Halloween and are gearing up for a week of Sam's birthday and a baseball tournament. More on all of that later this week!
Just because she is sweet.

Flu or Not?

Well, poor Sam is still home sick. It's hard to see in this picture, but he has a rash all over his entire body (I mean everywhere!!!). He says it doesn't bother him very much, but when his lips started to swell I got a little concerned. I took him to the pediatrician's office and he has strep throat AGAIN!!! He's even on an antibiotic for strep throat!! GAG!! My poor Sam. So...was his illness over the weekend from strep throat or did he really have the flu? Who knows...he will still get the vaccine for H1N1. The tonsils are going bye bye. I know that I'll be glad for that. Sam is even happy about it. He's so tired of feeling terrible.

My Precious Three Year Old

Sloane, for some reason, has never ever wanted to sing by herself. I was so used to Sam, the man that wouldn't come out of his room in the morning until he finished singing a huge song list, that I was shocked by this little girl. Well that little girl has found her voice. She's a singing machine.

The Poet and the Mohawk

Sam has been sick with the flu...and really really bored. He has been feeling better today and drawing lots of pictures and making cards. He decided to write a poem. I thought it was going to be a poem about what an awesome mom I am, but I was mistaken! Sam is so funny.
Sam's Poem
School school school.
Oh school, all the things you can see!
School is cool...
Social studies, math, science, spelling...
Isn't it great?
School school school!

This is the mohawk. It has taken on a new life of its own. It is now sticking straight up.

She's still cute. She is really into toys and chew things. Anything she can put in her mouth, she will. So adorable.

First bite of cereal

Sad to say, but it's that time. That first bite of cereal! She has been dying to eat something for awhile now. She didn't make any weird faces and seemed to enjoy it. I had lots of help with those first few bites. Sam and Sloane both fed her and Daddy took lots of pictures.

My Cuties!

Auntie Laura sent the cutest little outfits. You know how I love to match and this outfit was just too much! Sloane had fun picking out the bows, but she quickly took it out. Sigh...
If you make this picture bigger you can see Isla's top gums. I see white starting to show through the gums. It's leading to some sleepless nights. It's okay though...I really love cuddling her in the night. I'll never have a baby this little again.... another sigh.

Birthday Party

We had Sloane's birthday party at dinner time. We celebrated with fajitas and queso. That girl is the queso queen! This shirt that Isla is wearing is 18 months!!! I had to take her picture to tell you about the shirt. Now on to birthday stuff...Here is our beautiful princess.

She really liked all of her presents. It was a lot different from last year! She was ready to open and was very sweet about thanking everyone...even the ones that were not at the party!

Giving her brother some love. Sam is so thoughtful and really wanted to get her something she would love. And she did (that's the picture above).

Here she is modeling a really fancy dress from Aunt Amy and Uncle Kurt. She loved it and had to put it on first thing this morning.

She knew just want to do with the candles and had a very shy look on her face when we were singing.

She loved her jammies from Grandma and Granddad and had a great time dancing around her bedroom with Sam.

Sam had a great time too!

Happy Birthday, Sloane!

Happy Birthday Precious Girl!!!

I can't believe it! Words can not express how blessed we feel to have Sloane! She is so sweet and funny. We love her silliness. She is always coming up with something funny to say or do. She's a great big sister and little sister. And her siblings adore her. She has really taken on a "mother" role for Isla. When Isla cries, she is right there saying, "hold on, baby" and singing "Don't Stop Believing" to calm her down. She loves to play with Sam....whatever he wants. You can tell she has an older brother with all of the bad guy stories she tells. She is so precious to us and our family wouldn't be complete without her! We love you Sloaney!

The Ennis Halloween Bash!!!

We had the 2nd annual Ennis Halloween bash last night. It would have been really hard to cancel or I might have due to illness! This is right before we set up for the party. Gotta love Sam's face. Our peeps cake.

Sloane looked so adorable in my witch's wig and hat. Sam was cute too.

Sam's graveyard. He did it all by himself...what a big boy!

Sam right before the party.

Our spider snacks.

We bought these candle bags at target. It was such a fun project to put it all together with the children. They are really high quality too and everyone loved them in the dark.

The cutest cat I've ever seen!

Sam K. and Jack. Aren't their costumes great? They have such a talented mother.

Emily is a very fancy witch. Another awesome mom at work.

Free play!

Christian was a king. Isn't he adorable? Sloane was very excited to have her very own friend at the party. Westin's costume had glowing red eyes. It was really super cool in the dark.

The spookiest family on the block.

Sam and Hannah. Hannah was a baby.

My sweet husband and sweet baby. She was an angel last night. She fell asleep in the ergo baby carrier and it was very precious.

Best boy costume went to Jack. He had a mustache on too, but got tired of that very quickly. Best girl costume went to Abby. She was a mermaid.

We had lots of mummy wrapping fun. Our backyard is trashed. Sam or aka Darth Vader is wrapping his friend Westin.

Everyone together. Sloane didn't want to be in the picture. She's still not feeling the best. So we didn't push her. She didn't wear her costume either.

Alex was the cutest unicorn!

We had two moms and two dads to help us. It is funny that last year when everything was so new (kindergarten) that lots of parents didn't really feel like they should just drop the children off. This year...everyone did! I'm glad I asked some friends to help! We had a total blast and the children did to. This morning everyone slept late and when Sam woke up he said, "those children wore me out!" Sloane said, "that sure was a great party!"
All I can say is thank goodness for Journey! All of our children love them!
